Ke nako, almost (the last time I can use this phrase)

The year's almost over and I still haven't published anything since I undertook to do so nearly a month ago. This lack of writing is due to an overload of titles I must catch up with in order to see if their eligible to slot into my Top Ten list. I still need to see five films that may or may not make it onto the list, so please be patient. I have to be. Chances are I'll only post a 2010 list early in 2011.

Meanwhile, I can recommend with great excitement that you watch the trailers for the following 2011 releases, if you haven't done so yet: "Tree of Life", "Your Highness" (red band!) and "Cowboys and Aliens". "Thor" looks promising but nothing in the trailer promises greatness, while "Green Lantern" looks like green cheese. (Still, it has Blake Lively in it, which means I have to watch it.)

In unrelated news, I have taken it upon myself to paddle over into dark waters yonder, there where the deigning bosoms and heaving ho's of dark romance reside. Soon I'll be watching "Eclipse", the third "Twilight" film I lamentably missed in theatres earlier this year, and I will follow that up with reading "Breaking Dawn", the fourth book in the series. Intelligent women (I have not yet met a male Stephanie Meyer reader) have assured me that the books are so much better than the films. Be sure that I'll provide a blow-by-blow account of the book, for better and for worse.
